Moffitt Cancer Center – Magnolia Campus – ICU 1 & 2 Renovation

LEMA completed a full renovation of Intensive Care Units 1 and 2 on the second floor of Moffitt Cancer Center’s Magnolia Campus. The phased project included the removal and replacement of existing utility fixtures, furnishings, finishes, and equipment. New LED lighting, updated finishes, monolithic flooring, blackout window shades, and complementary paint colors helped modernize the 20-year-old ICU space. Working closely with Moffitt’s Facilities Staff, our team delivered upgraded intensive care units designed to be efficient, state-of-the-art spaces that better serve both staff and patients.

This renovation was completed in an active hospital and required ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) containment: a strict set of protocols used during construction in healthcare facilities to prevent the spread of dust, mold, and airborne pathogens to vulnerable patients. These measures allowed LEMA to carry out demolition and renovation work without putting Moffitt’s immunocompromised patients at risk.
