LEMA Construction Introduces Erich McCartney, PE our NEW Business Development Manager.
Erich started his career 19 years ago in the US Army gaining considerable leadership experience though multiple deployments to the middle east in key leadership positions, and formal military professional development. Erich still serves today in a part-time capacity as an executive officer the Florida Army National Guard.
Upon returning from active duty Erich earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. Erich has worked in a diverse array of project management roles, in both vertical and horizontal construction, private and public sectors, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and in specialty and general contractor firms. Completing construction projects in the role of engineer, owners’ representative, and contractor provides him with a unique understanding of project delivery. Erich is a licensed Professional Engineer (#80171) and a General Contractor (#CGC1526119) in the state of Florida.
Having worked and lived in the Tampa Bay Region for 10 years, Erich is passionate about development projects, specifically the revitalization of urban cores and how technology is shifting the workplace and driving changes in transportation and building design.
Outside of work, Erich enjoys an active Florida lifestyle with a passion for sailing with his wife and two cats.
